A gap year turned out to be just what my daughter needed after high school. As I wrote for The New York Times, now I’m a believer.

    Great info! Has your daughter blogged about the experience? My older son is planning a trip to Europe this summer and any current resources he could use would be helpful. What websites did your daughter use to plan and navigate? Thanks:)
